BURLINGTON, VT — 10 Vermont Lake Monster players have been selected to play in the 2022 Futures League All-Star Game Tuesday, July 26th at New Britain Stadium in New Britain, Connecticut.
The 52 players selected for the All-Star Game were split into two squads named after the captain for both teams: Team Lara (Joel Lara from New Britain) and Team Goldstein (George Goldstein from Vermont).
The two captains each drafted 26 players for their teams with Goldstein drafting Vermont teammates Wyatt Cameron (P), Cam Conley (INF), Gio Cueto (C), Jimmy Evans (OF), Tommy Hawke (OF), Jackson Kline (OF), Sean Matson (P) and Tobey McDonough (P). The only Vermont player drafted by Lara to his team was Tim Noone (P).
In addition to the All-Stars, Colby Brouillette was the Lake Monsters selection to take place in the eight-player Home Run Derby prior to the All-Star Game.
