BURLINGTON, VT — The Vermont Lake Monsters are scheduled to host 34 games on Delta Dental Diamond at historic Centennial Field beginning with their home opener on Saturday, May 30th thru their regular-season finale on Saturday, August 8th, the team announced today with the release of the entire 2026 Futures League season schedule.
After three straight road games May 27-29, the Lake Monsters will host the New Britain Bees at a special start time of 3:05pm on May 30th as part of their sixth FCBL home opener. Vermont will play 13 games at Centennial Field in both June and July before a 6-game homestand August 2-8 to end the regular-season.
The Lake Monsters will play each of the other six FCBL teams a total of 10 times with five games at Centennial and five on the road except for Vermont games vs. Westfield where nine of the 10 matchups are scheduled for Centennial and the other at Dunkin’ Park in Hartford, Connecticut on July 15th.
Along with Vermont, New Britain and Westfield, the other returning Futures League teams (Nashua, Norwich, Worcester) will be joined by the league’s newest member: the Lowell Spinners. While new to the Futures League, the Spinners were a member of the New York-Penn League along with the Lake Monsters for 24 years (1996-2019) as an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
With a seven-team league, at least one team will not be scheduled to play each day during the season. The Lake Monsters will have 10 off days (not counting the three during All-Star Break), but will play nine games on Mondays (which in previous seasons was always a scheduled off day).
Start times for Vermont home games will remain the same (6:35pm M-F, 6:05pm Sat, 5:05pm Sunday) except for the home opener May 30th (3:05pm) and Saturday, July 4th (1:05pm).
