NEW BRITAIN, CT — Colin Crowley went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI to lead the New Britain Bees to a 9-4 victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters in Futures League action Wednesday afternoon at New Britain Stadium.

Vermont had taken a 2-1 advantage in the second inning on a two-run double from Nolan Colby (Fairfield), who finished 3-for-5, but the Bees retook the lead in the bottom of the second with a two-run double of their own. 

A three-run double from Julius Rosado and an RBI single from Colin Crowley increased the New Britain lead to 7-2 in the fourth. Vermont got single runs in both the sixth and seventh innings on RBI singles from Nick Frontino (Mississippi State) who went 3-for-6 as he and Colby combined to go 6-for-11 at the top of the Lake Monsters lineup

The loss snaps a four-game road winning streak for the Lake Monsters and drops Vermont to 23-14 overall heading into final game of roadtrip Thursday at Nashua.
