BURLINGTON, Vermont – The Vermont Lake Monsters are pleased to announce the continuation with Two Brothers Tavern in Middlebury as the first “Official Outpost of the Vermont Lake Monsters,” which will include a kick-off event on Saturday, June 8th and watch parties of the Future League ballclub throughout the summer.
“Baseball has a unique way of bringing people together,” said C.J. Knudsen, senior vice president of the Vermont Lake Monsters. “Now, more than ever, the Lake Monsters are Vermont’s team. Each year, we make sure we have Vermont players on our roster. We are also hoping to create an Official Outpost for the Lake Monsters in each of Vermont’s 14 counties. We are pleased Two Brothers Tavern in Addison County is, once again, our Community Outpost partner. We are also excited about the ongoing collaboration with Fiddlehead Brewing Company to help raise money for a worthy Vermont charity.”
As the Addison County Outpost for the Lake Monsters, Two Brothers Tavern will hold a season “kick-off” event on Saturday, June 8th at noon in its special event space, Notte, with free food, and featuring Champ and several Lake Monsters players. Two Brothers Tavern will also offer seasonal Lake Monsters kids menu items during the 2024 baseball season, with $1 from every one of Two Brothers Tavern’s Lake Monster Children’s menu items going to UVM Children’s Hospital.
Fiddlehead Brewing Company, in Shelburne, also returns a season-long promotion in partnership with Two Brothers Tavern and the Lake Monsters which will generate more charitable fundraising directed toward Vermont’s communities. Starting with the June 8 kickoff event, Two Brothers Tavern and Fiddlehead will each donate $1 from the sale of each Fiddlehead Mastermind Double IPA pint sold to the UVM Children’s Hospital.
As an Official Outpost, Two Brothers Tavern plans to host Lake Monster Watch Parties throughout the 2024 season during the team’s 15 Futures League games which will be broadcast on WYCI-TV. Click here for complete list of WYCI-TV Lake Monsters broadcasts.
“I couldn’t be more excited to partner with the Vermont Lake Monsters and Fiddlehead Brewing Company, once again this year, to support the UVM Children’s Hospital,” said Holmes Jacobs, co-owner and general manager of Two Brothers Tavern. “Baseball is really a great way to bring the community together, and I am delighted Two Brothers Tavern can play a role.”
“We are proud to be a part of this unique partnership,” said Matt Cohen, owner of Fiddlehead Brewing Company. “At Fiddlehead, we believe in giving back to the community and this effort is a great way to do exactly that.”
