BURLINGTON, VT — The Vermont Lake Monsters are excited that Shaun McMillan has been named the Tom Racine Team MVP and Sam Cavossa as the George Commo Top Vermonter in this year’s voting by fans in person at historic Centennial Field and in online voting. 

McMillan (St. Johns) was named the team MVP after setting new Lake Monsters FCBL-era season records with 11 home run and 52 RBI. He currently leads the Futures League in both home runs, RBI, doubles (16) and total bases (109), while 2nd in the league with 40 runs and 3rd with 60 base hits.

Cavossa (Saint Michaels)  leads the Futures League and has set new Vermont FCBL-era season records with 69 base hits and 42 runs scored, while currently 2nd in the league with a .338 average and 4th with 10 doubles. Following the Lake Monsters season, Cavossa will head over for his fourth year at Saint Michaels College, where he was 2nd-team All NE-10 after hitting .373 (53-for-141).
