Tom Racine Award for MVP

The Tom Racine MVP Award was created in 1996 by the Burlington Free Press to name the Lake Monsters Most Valuable Player in a voting by the fans.

The award is named for longtime Burlington businessman and community leader Tom Racine, the General Manager of the Vermont Expos in 1994 and 1995 before passing away in January of 1996.

George Commo Award for Top Vermonter

The George Commo Top Vermonter Award was created in 2021 by the Lake Monsters to name the Lake Monsters Most Valuable Player from the state of Vermont.

The award is named for longtime Lake Monsters radio broadcaster George Commo.
