BURLINGTON, VT — Mark Quatrani has been named the FCBL Most Valuable Player and Sean Gamble the League’s Reliever of the Year, the Futures League recently announced with the full release of regular-season awards.

Quatrani (Cornell) led the Futures League with a .465 slugging percentage, while also finishing 3rd in the FCBL with a .333 batting average, tied for 2nd with 45 RBI and tied for 7th with 4 home runs.  Also ended season 2nd in the league with a .441 on-base percentage which included 18 walks and 12 hit by pitches to go along with  just 16 strikeouts.

Gamble (Minnesota State) led the Futures League with 7 saves during the 2024 regular-season, recording 30 strikeouts with just 10 walks over 19 2/3 innings in 18 relief appearances. Gamble joins George Goldstein (2022) as a FCBL Reliever of the Year recipient.

Quatrani is the first Lake Monsters player to be named Futures League MVP after Vermont pitchers (Patrick Harrington, Sean Matson, Francis Ferguson) were named the FCBL Pitcher of the Year the previous three seasons.
