BURLINGTON, VT, – After a very successful first-year partnership during the 2023 Futures League season that saw eight Lake Monster games and the FCBL All-Star game broadcast on WYCI-TV,, the Vermont Lake Monsters and WCAX-TV are pleased to announce that this season 15 of the Lake Monsters 38 home games at historic Centennial Field will be available live on WYCI-TV, “your home for the most live local sports!”
“Now, more than ever, we’re Vermont’s team”, said C.J. Knudsen, Senior Vice President for the Lake Monsters. “Having 15 games televised statewide on WYCI will allow Monsters fans to cheer on their team and celebrate our 30th season.”
Home games broadcast from Centennial Field will be anchored with play-by-play from 2024 Vermont Sports Hall of Fame inductee George Commo, along with University of Vermont broadcasters Brian McLaughlin, Rob Ryan and Ryan Zimmerman.
“Bringing 15 live, local baseball games to the region on WYCI is a big increase this season, and we could not be happier to partner with the Lake Monsters to do it,” said Jay Barton, Vice President and General Manager of WCAX-TV and WYCI-TV.
All 15 games broadcast on WYCI, along with the rest of the Lake Monsters schedule, is also available on the league streaming website (FCBLnetwork.com) for a charge per game, per week or full season.
