BURLINGTON, VT — The Vermont Lake Monsters will open their fifth Futures League season on May 28th at New Britain before hosting the first of 35 home games at Centennial Field on Saturday, May 31st vs. Worcester, the team and league announced today.
The full 62-game schedule includes 15 home games in June, 14 in July and five in August with the Centennial Field finale scheduled for Friday, August 7th vs. Worcester before the season finale at Nashua on August 8th.
The home opener on May 31st will begin with a special start time of 3:05pm, while the Lake Monsters will host Westfield on Friday, July 4th starting at 1:05pm. All other Vermont home games will have their normal start times of 6:35pm Monday-Friday, 6:05pm Saturdays and 5:05pm Sundays.
Vermont will host a pair of six-game Tuesday-Sunday homestands June 17th-22nd and July 29th-August 3rd, along with a six-game homestand June 6th-12th (with off day on the 9th). The Lake Monsters will round out the season with eight of the final 11 games at Centennial Field.
The road schedule includes a July 15th contest vs. Westfield Starfires that will be played at Dunkin’ Park, home of the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats, in Hartford, Connecticut.
