BURLINGTON, VT — Led by 2024 Futures League MVP Mark Quatrani and Reliever of the Year Sean Gamble, six Vermont Lake Monsters have been named either first or second-team All-FBCL, the Futures League announced today with the release of the full 2024 All-FCBL teams. 

Along with Quatrani as first-team catcher and Gamble first-team reliever, Wyatt Cameron was named as one of the first-team starting pitchers and Zander Teator first-team utility player. The other two Lake Monster selections, starting pitcher Hayden Mutz and utility player Chone James were All-FCBL second-team selections.

Quatrani (Cornell) was named league MVP after hitting .333 (48-for-144) with 22 runs, five doubles, four homers and 34 RBI, finishing the season third in the league in batting and tied for second in RBI. 

Gamble (Minnesota State) led the Futures League with seven saves, while going 2-2 with a 3.66 ERA, 10 walks and 30 strikeouts over 19 ⅔ innings in 18 relief appearances. 

Cameron (Central Connecticut) was 3-1 with two saves, 2.20 ERA and 44 strikeouts over 32 ⅔ innings in 10 appearances (six starts) in 2024. The four-year Lake Monsters all-time leader in wins (12), saves (17), games (78), innings (133.2) and strikeouts (156), finished 2024 with 44 strikeouts in 32 ⅔ innings.

Teator (Babson) selected as top utility player after hitting .308 (20-for-65) with 12 runs and 12 RBI in 18 games mostly at second base, while going 1-0 with two saves, 1.80 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 15 innings in 11 relief outings on the mound. 

Mutz (AIC) finished 2-2 with 3.95 ERA, 19 walks and 33 strikeouts over 43 ⅓ innings in 11 appearances (10 starts), while James (Virginia) hit .289 (41-for-142) with 30 runs, team-record 12 doubles, one homer and 19 RBI over 38 games split between catcher, first base, right field and designated hitter. 

36 Futures League players overall were named All-FCBL with Vermont and Futures League champion Norwich both having league-best six players (four first-team, two second-team) selected.
