BURLINGTON, VT — Colby Brouillette went 3-for-5 with three runs, pair of doubles, a homer and three RBI to lead the Vermont Lake Monsters to a 9-3 victory over the Brockton Rox in Futures League action Monday night at historic Centennial Field.
Brouillette (BFA-St. Albans/Clarkson) had an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning and smacked a two-run homer to right-center in the second that gave Vermont a 4-3 advantage. Vermont scored five more times in the fourth inning, including a Cam Conley (Pepperdine) three-run homer.
Wyatt Cameron (Middlebury HS/NE College) earned the victory with four scoreless innings of relief, allowing three hits with no walks and four strikeouts for Vermont (2-3).
