BURLINGTON, VT — The Vermont Lake Monsters are proud to announce that we are partnering with the Vermont Foodbank to help fight food insecurity this summer throughout Vermont!

“Addressing hunger and food insecurity is a team effort, and we are grateful to the Vermont Lake Monsters for making this opportunity available,” said John Sayles, CEO of the Vermont Foodbank. “Partnerships like this are critical in helping to provide our neighbors with the food they need and want.”

Lake Monsters Director of Concessions & Events Alex Pierotti added “We are very excited to get our partnership with the Vermont Foodbank off the ground and to continue to have a positive impact on our community!” 

Did you know? 2 in 5: The number of people in Vermont who have experienced food insecurity in the past year. (UVM NFACT July 2022) – far higher than the 9.6% food insecurity rate Vermont saw before the COVID-19 pandemic, and higher than at any point in 2020 or 2021.
