Nick DiLello Named General Manager
BURLINGTON, VT — The Vermont Lake Monsters are excited to announce the promotion of Nick DiLello to the role of General Manager for the Futures League franchise. The announcement was made today by President & CEO Chris English and Senior Vice President C.J. Knudsen.
DiLello, a 2018 Essex High School graduate, has been with the Lake Monsters since 2019 when he joined the Box Office game day staff and became the Box Office Manager in 2022. He was promoted to Director of Operations prior to the 2026 season, overseeing the day-to-day ballpark management and operation of Delta Dental Diamond at Centennial Field.
“Nick has been an integral part of the Vermont Lake Monsters organization since day one. It has been exciting to watch him grow into this role and help lead the Lake Monsters into the future,” said Knudsen. “Nick’s work ethic and dedication is truly impressive and we know that he will do a fantastic job as our General Manager.”
As the seventh General Manager in the franchise’s 33-year history, DiLello will work closely with Knudsen on the day-to-day operations of the Lake Monsters ballclub.
“When I first met Nick on day one I asked ‘who are you’ and he answered ‘I’m the box office guy’, so I said ‘ok your name in now BOG’ and it has stuck,” said English. “BOG, aka Nick, has been a tireless Lake Monsters culture carrier and is surely ready to work closely with C.J. on the running of the entire organization.”
“I am incredibly grateful to C.J., Chris English, and our entire organization for this opportunity. I grew up coming to Centennial Field as a young fan, so being named General Manager and helping contribute to the magic of Lake Monsters baseball is truly a dream come true,” said DiLello. “We have an amazing, talented staff, and I can’t wait to keep working closely with C.J. to provide affordable, family-friendly entertainment at Delta Dental Diamond at Centennial Field for years to come.”
The Lake Monsters seventh season in the Futures League will begin at historic Centennial Field in late May 2027.
