BURLINGTON, VT — The Nashua Silver Kings scored four runs in both the fifth and sixth innings for their second come-from-behind victory in as many nights over the Vermont Lake Monsters with an 8-7 Futures League victory Friday night at historic Centennial Field.

Vermont, which had led 3-1 Thursday before Nashua rallied for a 9-3 victoty, took an early 4-0 lead Friday with single runs in the first and third innings sandwiched around two runs in bottom of second, including a Ryan Marra (Brown) RBI single in the first and Cooper Kelly (Kansas) RBI double in the third.

Nashua tied game with four runs on five hits in the top of the fifth inning off Lake Monsters starter Tobey McDonough (Brown), who had allowed just three hits over the first four scoreless frames, but Vermont quickly restored a three-run lead in bottom of fifth with the help of a Gio Cueto (Wake Forest) RBI double to center and a Jordan Kelly (Princeton) bloop RBI single to left

The Silver Knights scored another four times on four hits in the top of the sixth for an 8-7 advantage, then held on as the Lake Monsters got a pair of runners aboard with two outs in the sixth and two runners in scoring position with two outs in ninth before a strikeout to end the game.
