BURLINGTON, VT – For the second straight Saturday, the Vermont Lake Monsters Futures League game at historic Centennial has been rained out and will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday, June 25th, beginning at 4:05pm. Fans with tickets for Saturday’s game can exchange those tickets for any future 2023 Lake Monsters regular season at the Centennial Field ticket office during office hours or prior to any home game.

Gates will open at 3:00pm on Sunday as the first-place Lake Monsters (19-7) host the second-place Worcester Bravehearts (17-8) and celebrate “Halloween at the Ballpark.” Scheduled starting pitchers for Vermont on Sunday are Ethan Bowen (Rutgers) in game one and Stowe’s Ben Alexson (Fairfield) in game two.

Both the “Vermont Expos Night” promotion and Orlando Cabrera appearance scheduled for Saturday have been rescheduled for Sunday, July 16th. The post-game fireworks show will also be rescheduled for a night later in the season.

Saturday’s rainout was the fifth of the season for Vermont and the fourth at Centennial Field with the Lake Monsters having swept both previous doubleheaders the day after (New Britain June 25th and Westfield June 18th).
