SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT – WCAX/WYCI and the Vermont Lake Monsters bring local baseball to live television for the first time in Vermont for the 2023 season. WYCI-TV will televise eight regular season games plus the Futures League All-Star Game live from historic Centennial Field, beginning with the home opener on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

“Lake Monsters baseball brings great games to the field, and we’re doing something that’s never been done before – bringing the game to your living room on live TV across the region,” said C.J. Knudsen, Senior Vice President for the Lake Monsters. “Now more than ever before we are Vermont’s team.”

The nine games broadcast on WYCI from Centennial Field will be anchored with play-by-play from legendary announcer George Commo as part of a simulcast of all 68 Lake Monster home and away games streaming on FCBLnetwork.com

“We are so excited to serve the community and create this exclusive partnership with the Lake Monsters,” said Jay Barton, Vice President and General Manager of WCAX and WYCI. “Our stations are rooted in Vermont and the North Country, and this is the best part of TV – bringing our home together over shared experiences, like a great game of baseball.”
