BURLINGTON, VT — The Vermont Lake Monsters will celebrate its 30th season of baseball at historic Centennial Field this summer with 38 Futures League games over a 73-day stretch from May 24th to August 4th, the team announced today with the release of the full FCBL schedule.
The Lake Monsters fourth season in the Futures League begins on May 24th at Nashua before they open their home schedule with a three-game series vs. the Brockton Rox May 25-27, including a special Memorial Day 1:05pm start on the 27th.
After playing its next five games on the road, Vermont will host 35 of its last 49, 29 of last 39 and 20 of its final 26 games at Centennial including:
* 15 June home games (nine straight June 18-27 with off day on 24th)
* 17 July home games (nine of 10 games July 4-14 with special 1:05pm start on July 4th)
* 7 straight home games July 18-26 (4 coming before All-Star Break and 3 afterwards)
In all, Vermont will play 17 of its 24 July games and three of its four August contests at home, including the regular-season finale August 4th vs. Nashua.
Vermont will face Brockton, Nashua and Norwich 10 times each, while eight games each against New Britain, Westfield and Worcester. With Pittsfield unable to play at home this summer, the team will be known as the “Road Warriors” playing just away games including a pair of two-game series June 20-21 and July 9-10 at historic Centennial Field.
Lake Monsters have 13 of their 38 home dates scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays coming over seven weekends (May 25-26, June 8-9 & 22-23, July 6-7, 13-14 & 20 and August 3-4).
