BURLINGTON, VT — Cornell University’s Mark Quatrani was named the Tom Racine MVP winner and Colchester’s Zach Davis was named the George Commo Award winner as the top Vermonter for the 2024 Vermont Lake Monsters as the team announced the results of the yearly end-of-season fan voting.
Quatrani finished the regular-season among the top three in the Futures triple crown categories, ending the year third in the FCBL with a .336 average, tied for 2nd with four home runs and tied for second in RBI with 34.
Davis had a 3.71 ERA in nine appearances out of the Lake Monsters bullpen, including four scoreless innings at Norwich on August 2nd in his final outing of the regular-season … He joins Vermont teammates Colby Brouillette (Georgia, VT) and Wyatt Cameron (Salisbury, VT) along with Ben Alekson (Stowe, VT) as Commo Award winners.
